Final Makeup Look With Special FX

The final look we have chosen is very unique as this will give the audience the feel of goriness in a horror movie. Also by carving a smiley face on Kiera's face makes it unique as no other horror film has done this. The following photos will show the makeup in more detail and will also be explained how we did it.

This is a close up of the gunshot wound on Kiera's forehead. 2 layers of fake blood were applied. We did one layer and then applied PVA glue. After this dried we put the second layer of fake blood on which was around 20 minutes later and this made the wound look more fresh.

This is a close up of the carved smiley face. This was made with tissue, cotton wool, PVA glue, foundation, fake blood and eye shadow. These materials made it seem more realistic give it a 3D look. We applied 2 layers of fake blood again and waited for the first layer to dry then applied the second so it looked more fresh and realistic.

This is a close up of the black eye/bruise. This was made with just an eye shadow pallet and a little bit of foundation. This is effective as it stands out and looks realistic. Also the eye shadow is pigmented so we didn't need a lot as it blends out well.

This is the final special effects look. It includes a black eye made with eye shadow and foundation. We then have the gunshot wound which was made with tissue, cotton wool, PVA glue, foundation, fake blood and eyeshadow. We used the eye shadow palette because it was pigmented and made everything look realistic. Finally we have the carved smiley face which is on Kiera's cheek. This is made with the same materials as the gunshot wound : tissue, cotton wool, PVA glue, foundation, fake blood and eye shadow.
