Saw: Legacy is a horror film as contain graphic and gory scenes where people play games which decide their fate between life and death. This is targeted towards older teenagers and adults as it is rated 15.
At the start of the trailer it doesn't seem like a horror as a woman is shown jogging but then stops as a group of people are looking up at a bridge where a man is hanging. The scene quickly changes to what seems like the woman having a flash back where her head is in some type of helmet. The doctors investigate the body find a chip which they put in the laptop. This is known to happen in Saw films. The scene changes back to a group of people chained to the wall when the chains begin to pull them closer towards blades which is shown with a close up with one of them with blood on.
The next scene shows armed police going in to a warehouse as they are familiar on what happens in these cases and find different death traps all around. After the range of quick edited scenes of the different death traps used in the film lights are turned on which are in the shape of jigsaws face which will get the audiences attention as the are curious on who it is as the previous killer died. And the well known tricycle is shown coming in but looks different as his eye are lit up is is laughing in an eerie way. As the trailer ends the laughing is used to add an effect as the release date is shown which is October 27th which is near to Halloween.
